Andrew Barovick is a graduate of Columbia College, and the Cardozo School of Law. Mr. Barovick is admitted to practice in New York State and Washington, D.C. and has argued before the highest court in New York State (the New York Court of Appeals, in Albany), and the highest local federal court (the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, in New York, New York).
He has tried over 30 cases to verdict, and has argued the same number of appeals before appellate tribunals. He is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
In addition to membership in the American Association for Justice, the New York State Bar Association, and the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, Mr. Barovick is a member of the Medical Malpractice Committee for the Association of the Bar of the City of New York.
The Committee is comprised of both plaintiff’s and defense attorneys as well as judges, and maintains a bipartisan focus. He writes and lectures for Continuing Legal Education programs, and serves as an instructor at Cardozo Law School’s Intensive Trial Advocacy Program (ITAP).
He and his partner, Anselmo A. Alegria, maintain offices in White Plains, NY, and midtown Manhattan.
